The learning never stops but I am happy to say I continue to see growth in myself and my clients. learning how to take advantage of digital marketing. To be honest, many of my struggles came from me having poor money management skills, None of my friends or parents had a business so I had to learn everything myself even the little things such as learning how to register to my business name, opening a business account, SAVING, knowing how much to invest back into my business, setting a budget, etc. Smooth? Ha! Not at all and I’m sure any start-up/small business owner would say the same. I started off hosting the classes every other month as a Girls Night Out Event which quickly grew to various teaching opportunities throughout DFW. After continuous encouragement from my friends and other participants in the class, I stepped out and hosted my first stiletto dance class later that year. Everyone in the class had a great time and wished we had classes like this in Dallas, A friend of mine suggested that I start teaching stiletto classes here in Dallas because I was a full-time professional dancer and hosted my own hip hop and dance fitness classes in the downtown Dallas area. In 2013, I was invited by a friend to take a stiletto dance class instructed by a guest choreographer by the name of O’So Krispy from TLC. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there. Thanks for sharing your story with us Jessica. Because dance classes are unregulated in the United States anyone can open up a studio and “teach” children. The Creation Station philosophy lies in the belief that by combining a nurturing, non-competitive environment and encouraging kids to develop their own personal, artistic, and educational strengths, allows them to tap into their imaginations in a way that is vastly different from any other traditional dance school. Many of our students have gone on to dance professionally, join Dance Companies and dance on Broadway, while others have just enjoyed the Creation Station Dance Program for its self esteem building attributes that stay with our students long into early adulthood. ![]() ![]() All of the CSA classes are structured and fairly rigorous for the child wanting to bring their dancing to the next level but still maintains the fantastic developmental approach to dance. This next level of Creation Station is for the dancer who wants a more formal training situation, but doesn’t feel the need to be placed in a competitive atmosphere like most other dance studios. Once your child turns 6, they transition seamlessly into the Creation Station Academy (CSA) program. We help children develop and practice social, physical, and gross motor skills, but our major focus is the FUN! Enrichment is only enriching if your child is engaged and interested in what she/he is doing! Our award winning and internationally recognized program for kids 16 months through the age of 6, uses an incredible assortment of props, costumes and weekly developmental themes to inspire and engage the children.
